While taking pictures of street art in chiang mai, thailand, I fell upon an abandoned building which was used by street artists. I have re-named the building the Chiang Mai Street Art Gallery.

Dear Readers
After running a smugmug site under photobyphm.smugmug.com for a year, I realized that the site was not living up to my expectations.
More importantly, the photos were not linked to search engines. After multiple attempts to correct the situation, the only solution was to cancel the site.
As a temporary solution I have opened a facebook site: ISRAEL SPORT PHOTO. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Israel-Sport-Photo/439081609479237

The Triple Diamond Surf competition, organised by Surfhouse, was held March 18, 2013 in Tel Aviv. The competition brought together 16 of Israels’ best surfers in a one day event comprising of three disciplines, stand-up paddleboard (SUP), surf long-board and surf short-board. It could be considered a surfers’ triathlon.
The Tel Aviv Marathon 2013 was divided into two races due to intense heat in Israel. The half marathon was held March 15, with the marathon scheduled for March 22.
With temperatures reaching up to 35C, the water stations were the sites of intense activity.
The 11th annual Storm Rider competition was held on March 4 at Bat Galim, Haifa, Israel.
Twenty of the best Kiteboarders and 20 of the best Windsurfers compete at this event. This is normally an extreme event with heavy winds and huge waves. This year the weather played a trick on the organizers. The biggest storm of the year was early January, not in February.
The weather was calm until the finals when the wind and waves finally picked up.
Congratulations to the Kiteboard winners: Amit Inbar, Yaron Barlev and Ron Raveh
The gallery pictures are from the Agmon Hula Bird Sanctuary taken December 26, 2012. The sanctuary is a major resting area for birds migrating from Europe to Africa for the winter. This is not the best period to visit. Mostly cranes. The optimal periods are from August to November and March-April. I hope to visit again during these periods. Location N33°6’32.16″, E35°35’50.76″. Next time I need to take my 1d Mark 3 and 1.4x adapter. The distances are too far for the 5d M2 and 100-400mm lens.
I visited Atlantic City 2 weeks after Sandy. Although the city was near the center of the storm, the damage was much less apparent than the news reports lead one to believe. In fact, except for the lack of tourists, all appeared normal. The first thing I did before thinking of taking pictures was eat at Tony Boloney’s. Was great.
While I walked up and down the boardwalk, two sites were of interest to me and I decided to concentrate on them. The first was the steel pier and the other was the Revel Casino. I realized I could photograph the steel pier both at sunrise and sunset.

If you are a travel photographer or just a photographer looking for something unique to photograph then Thaipusam in Singapore or anywhere else it is celebrated is a prime event. The scenes are amazing. A detailed description of the ceremony can be found by checking wikipedia or googling it.
If you are anywhere near Singapore then the trip is well worth it. Unfortunately I had the wrong lenses with me and arrived only a few hours before the event so my pictures are not the best. I hope one time in the future to be able to photograph Thaipusam in Singapore again.
